So many festivals so little time!

A lot if not everybody has a bucket list, things they would love to do before they die. Well I have one too and that is to attend as many festivals as possible. The music, the people, the atmosphere what’s not too love! So I thought I would share with you what I think are some of the best Festivals in the world today and why.

One of the main reasons I love dance festivals is the music, the energy it gives off and how it can control how you feel just shows the magic of it. At live events it is these simple things that can turn it into something special. A good track will control a crowd and create an atmosphere that you will want to remember for the rest of your life.

Many of these festivals give artists the chance to experiment and release new music giving fans the taste of what is to come. A magical app that I use religiously has made this music more accessible and recognisable is Shazam. Imagine the scene, you are at a live event and a song that comes on that changes your life. You want to know what it is but there is no way to find out! This is where Shazam comes in, one click of a button it can tell you the name of the song, the artist, song lyrics and many other great features; letting me keep up to date with the latest music and trends. Want to find out the most Shazamed tracks of Tomorrowland 2015?

Heart tomorrowlandAlthough all this wouldn’t be possible without the artists themselves, they create the music and are key to making a festival a massive success or a disappointing fail.

These efforts from the artists do not go unnoticed as every year DJ Mag gives fans around the world a chance to vote for their “Top 100” DJ. This can be based on many factors such as their music creativity, live sets and how influential they have been in this constantly changing music scene. Although there has been many controversies surrounding this poll it still has a big say in the world of dance and many of the artists involved take it very seriously, asking fans to vote every year.

These are just some of the factors that make festivals what they are today and with each passing year and increased popularity it just becomes more exciting to the everyday music fan!!
